What is strolling magic, and is it right for our event?
Strolling magic is performed up-close for your guests using everyday objects: cards, coins, borrowed rings, their own phone. Rob mingles through the room performing for small groups at a time. It is the best fit for cocktail hours, receptions, hospitality suites and any event where people are standing and mixing. No stage, no AV, no setup time required.
What does it cost to book Rob?
Rob is a premium option, and he is priced for companies that treat the event as an investment rather than a line item to minimize. Fees depend on format, length, date and how much custom work goes into it, so there is no flat rate to quote. Tell him your date and guest count on the form and you will have a clear number in writing quickly. If the cheapest available magician is the goal, he is honestly not your guy.
Can Rob perform during dinner?
He will advise against it, and here is why. Rob’s magic is interactive and needs your guests’ attention and participation. While people are eating they do not want to look up from the plate or stop mid-conversation. Book strolling magic for cocktail hour before dinner, or a stage show after dinner. During the meal, a band or DJ is the right call.
How far in advance should we book a Las Vegas date?
Sooner than you think, especially for CES and conference season, Q4 holiday parties and any Saturday. Popular dates go months out. That said, if your event is next week, send it anyway. Rob has filled last-minute gaps more than once.
Do you work with our venue, AV team and planner?
Yes, that is the normal way this runs. Rob coordinates directly with your planner, venue and AV crew on timing, sound and staging, and provides contract and certificate of insurance for your procurement team without being chased for it.
We are flying in from out of state. Does that matter?
Not at all. Rob is Las Vegas based, so if your company is holding its event here you get a local who knows the properties, the load-in quirks and the union rules, with no travel cost added. He also performs nationwide when you need him at your other events.
